Garden Party

The Garden Party video installation was staged in conjunction with the Pine Street Community Garden’s first harvest.  Projections on five, 8-foot diameter screens provided ambient light and animated the linear path through the garden. Sound was broadcast on FM radio.

The scale of the installation and the nature-inspired images amplified the unique location of the garden bounded by abandoned railway tracks, an industrial area, as well as newer commercial and residential developments. The installation transformed a semi-private gathering into an event, which welcomed the broader community. The evening was a celebration for gardeners and an unexpected delight for passersby.

Organising Team: David Godeyk, Henning Knoetzele, Peeroj Thakre, Christopher Zimmermann
