ph5 architecture inc was founded in 2008 by Peeroj Thakre and Henning Knoetzele. With over 15 years of professional experience each, the practice brings together their expertise in urban design, building and interior design.
Henning Knoetzele
Dipl.Ing. Architekt
Henning is the co-founder of ph5 architecture inc and associated non-profit, Urban Republic. He studied at Bauhaus University in Germany and has honed his professional skills in Vancouver since 2000. His experience not only spans an ocean but also a range of project types and sizes — from furniture and art installations to housing, towers and urban design. Henning is keenly interested in designing new types of livable housing and urban design.
Born and raised in Bielefeld, Germany, Henning specialized in Art and German in school and briefly worked as a bricklayer prior to studying architecture. As an avid observer of urban life and form, he has the ability to develop designs that are responsive to site and context.
