The aim of the project was to find new ways and new spaces to present the stories written by Vancouverites and particularly Downtown Eastside residents to a wider audience. It is a celebration of the reality that everyday, everyone creates the culture of our city. It was proposed that the empty lot be temporarily transformed to host three types of activities.

An on-going sound installation: Audio artists will interweave the collected sounds and stories into short compositions broadcasted over the audio speakers.

Performance: A local arts group will be commissioned to produce a site specific performance.

Informal community activities: Other community groups will be invited to use the space for informal activities and gardening.
